Wow what a place to eat. Full of atmosphere, great food without a complicated menu. Very helpful and friendly staff. Shame there isn't one in every town. So good even for a romantic meal.
5 years later the place doesn't disappoint. Everything is the same, atmosphere, music and food. Only 4 stars for food because it cools down too quickly and the grilled courgettes were raw. However, you are up for a lovely meat dinner!
Went here for a special occasion and overall had a fab time! The skewers were absolutely delicious and the service throughout was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, they were out of beef and forgot the sparkler we'd asked for to celebrate, which was a bit disappointing. The only real downside was a staff member loudly shouting about closing near the end which kind of killed the vibe. That said, the rest of the experience was great and we’d still recommend it for a tasty night out.
First time visiting here with friends. Not only is the food and atmosphere amazing but the whole evening is an experience. A skewer of halloumi over flaming ouzo was so fun! As a vegetarian there was lots on offer. The house special is a great deal and plenty of food for 2 to share! The halloumi was so nice with the roasted vegetables. The cheesecake was a huge slice and 2 of us couldn’t finish it! Will definitely return!

Been to skewer house a good few times now and the food is always spot on. Get a skewer house special you will not be disappointed, so much food we have to share and the cheesecake wow! You need to try if you haven't already it's amazing. Everything about the place is 10/10.
You wouldn’t believe you are in little Taunton, this restaurant is a gem. You go through the door and you are teleported in one of those Portuguese distinct taverns from the streets of Porto. The atmosphere is great, Portuguese music playing in the background, busy waiters bringing all types of delicious food, small tables full of customers that seem they are enjoying themselves. The food was spot on, the skewers of various meat types are the main meal that you can build you dinner, and the “pièce de résistance” is the desert, various glorious cheesecakes. The staff were also great, always ready to serve and accommodate any request, happy and polite.
